Applicability of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected by us through this web site (the "Site''). Although the Site may provide links to third-party websites, such third-party websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy. These links are provided for your convenience only, and we assume no responsibility for the privacy or security of information you provide to any third-party through linked websites or any other means. "Third Parties" mean any person or entity other than LifeLens Financial and you.

YOUR REGISTRATION INFORMATION

In order to use our Dashboard or any of the Services, you will first need to create a user account through the Planner. To establish an Account, you must provide Personal Information (as defined in our Privacy Policy that is collected on the secure enrollment page. See Privacy Statement for further information).

An email address is required to provision a new account. Without this, we are unable to create your account. If you purchase a paid subscription, you will need to provide billing and payment information, including full name, billing address and credit card number. If you do not provide us this information, you may be unable to subscribe and access to our Services may be limited.

What Information LifeLens Financial Collects

LifeLens Financial collects personally identifiable information that you provide through purchases of our products. We collect this information because you voluntarily provide it. In some cases (for instance the purchase of a product or service or a request for a free resource), LifeLens Financial will require certain information in order to complete the transaction.

This information includes, but is not limited to, your email address, name, home or work address or telephone numbers. When you purchase an item, we will have transaction information that you provide. This information might include your method of payment, credit card information, billing address, or other payment information.

Our web server collects non-personally identifiable information from you during the course of your visit to the Site and as you complete your personal planner. This information may include general information regarding your Internet Service Provider and host, your IP address, the content on the Site you access, the platform operating system and web browser you use, and the date, time, and duration of your visit to the Site.

This information may be collected through the use of a “cookie.” Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive to store your preferences. Cookies themselves do not contain any personally identifiable information. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. For instance, such information may be submitted through your use of an online form to register with us to access and use certain portions of the Site, or by sending us an email to request certain services from LifeLens Financial. You may also give us personal information when completing your personal planner. In other cases, such information may be the content or information you post in a web-forum, in a chat room, or through other interactive or "social networking" portions of the Site (collectively referred to herein as the "Interactive Portions" of the Site). The information you voluntarily submit may include information which may be used to personally identify you, such as your name, physical address, telephone number, email address, credit card number, and/or tax identification number.

Confidentiality and Anonymity: Your personal information is protected on our site. However, if you desire to achieve total anonymity use a name that will only make sense to you. If you prefer that your LifeLens Financial model is anonymous, we suggest the following:

  1. Use made-up names for yourself and family members.
  2. Put in a made-up addresses for your primary residence and all real estate. Note our Zillow Valuation Analysis for your primary residence will not be applicable if you do not use your actual residence. You will need to indicate your own value assumption if you do not use your correct address.

How LifeLens Financial Uses the Information It Collects

LifeLens Financial uses information it collects to, among other things, process your requests and transactions, offer or furnish additional services, personalize the types of information you receive from us, assess trends in the use of the Site, develop content and functionality that helps serve our users’ needs, and improve the services we provide. Any information you submit using the Interactive Portions of the Site, even personally-identifiable information, may be automatically publicly displayed on the Site. You therefore should be very careful about providing any personally identifying information using the Interactive Portions of the Site.

Our use of the non-personally-identifiable information we collect through the Site is unrestricted. We may sell or license non-personally-identifiable information or aggregated information (information derived from personally-identifiable information, but not containing any personally identifying details) to Third Parties.

In the event we use Google Analytics, the information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Site, compiling reports on website activity for LifeLens Financial and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

We will not use your personally-identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection (the "Purpose") without first attempting to notify you via the last email address we have in our records. We will only share your personally-identifiable information with Third Parties that assist us in carrying out the Purpose. Such Third Parties shall be required to use your personally-identifiable information only to assist in the Purpose and to maintain the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information.

We reserve the right at all times to: (a) use and disclose any information it reasonably believes necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, government request, court order, subpoena or other legal process; (b) edit or remove any information, in whole or in part, that in our sole discretion is objectionable, disruptive to the Site or in violation of the Terms of Service; (c) use and disclose any information when we believe it is necessary to prevent harm or injury, to prevent fraud, or to protect our legal interests; and (d) use and disclose any information in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.

LifeLens Financial may also transfer personal information in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets, or otherwise undergo a change in control. Should such an event occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use personal information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Retention and Integrity of Information

We retain personal and non-personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, and may retain it for a longer period of time if required or permitted by law.

You can request access, modifications to, or removal of the personal information collected by us through your use of the Site by contacting us. To honor your request, we will need the exact information you want to access, modify, or remove. We will use reasonable efforts to provide you with access to and to modify or remove such information if requested, provided, however, we will not be liable to you should it be unable, after such efforts, to identify, modify, or remove such information. We may also decline requests that are unreasonable, require disproportionate technical effort, or that jeopardize the privacy of others.

Due to the dynamic and ever-changing nature of the interactive portions of the Site, you acknowledge and agree it may be impossible for us to access, modify or remove your personal information from these portions of the Site.

Data and Data Integrity

The overall integrity and quality of the data presented by LifeLens Financial to you is an important element in providing you with a high quality and accurate picture of your personal finances. LifeLens Financial, however, is not responsible for and cannot guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of Account information we retrieve on your behalf directly, from third-party technology providers, from third-party financial institutions where your accounts are held, or from third-party research/market data providers used to provide Services.

LifeLens Financial may not be able to foresee or anticipate technical or other difficulties which may result in failure to obtain data, personalization settings or other service interruptions. LifeLens Financial assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, accuracy, deletion, non-delivery or failure to store any user data, loss of user data, communications or personalization settings. LifeLens Financial encourages you to periodically confirm the valuation or execution price of particular investments through independent sources, such as an investment advisor, broker-dealer or other financial institution.

Children

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. Neither LifeLens Financial nor any of its services are designed or intended to attract children under the age of 13. We do not collect personally-identifiable information from any person that we know to be under the age of 13.

Security

We have put in place reasonably appropriate physical, electronic, and/or procedural safeguards to protect your personally-identifiable information. However, even with such measures, no one is able to guarantee that unauthorized Third Parties will not be able to bypass these measures or otherwise capture such information. LifeLens Financial shall not be liable to you for any Third Party's unauthorized access to or use of your personally-identifiable information.

All LifeLens Financial servers are up-to-date with the latest operating systems to prevent security breaches due to bugs in software. All LifeLens Financial servers are segregated from the internet with only bare minimum access for web applications. All data is stored in the Google Cloud storage infrastructure and is encrypted. At no time is credit card-related data stored or handled directly by LFP.

Other Obligations While You Use the Services

Confidentiality: You agree and understand that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account’s login information and password. You should also maintain appropriate anti-virus and anti-malware software on your computer, so that your account login information is not compromised through your own negligence. If you receive evidence that someone has committed fraud by accessing your account you must contact us immediately.
